Consent Intake

Last edited Apr 7, 2024

Consent Issues for EventsInBlack events should be brought to the attention of our Hosts team. While I (Raven) can be the sole recipient of the report, the info will be shared to the Hosts and my Accountability team so that the report is not unknown.

If your intent is to bring the incident to the police, please be up front about that. I will not stop supporting you, either way.

A consent report is between The Harmed and The Harm Doer. Each of these terms can represent multiple people. We will use these terms to describe the two parties on this page. This is just to make this page make sense.

If you know the Event Host, message them. If you need additional support, Join EventsInBlack Discord and message myself (Raven), or message me on FetLife (@tehraven)

If for any reason you don't see a post from me on my Discord announcing that something happened at [the event], reach out to any Host on my Discord and they will hold me accountable.

  1. The information as-is will be shared with my entire Hosts team. The Harmed is always believed, and the report is assumed to be True and Accurate, but permanent repurcusions on the The Harm Doer will not occur without an investigation. The Harm Doer will be told to not attend our events until the investigation finishes
  2. If immediate action is warranted (The Harmed is not safe / police involvement is requested) such actions or safeguarding will occur simultaenously and asynchronously at this point
  3. The anonymous version of the report (EG: There was an incident at the Munch last week) will be shared with the whole server, which is public
  4. Anyone on my end may request to have a joint conversation with you and myself. You can opt out of these at any time, and you can opt me out of the process if you wish. At least two people (other than yourself) who have agreed to my KEMS and KECC-based Code of Conduct should be present at this point
  5. The investigation attempts to verify the information with The Harm Doer
  6. The investigating group makes a decision based on their best judgement, and before telling the Harm Doer, communicates it with The Harmed to both get their feedback, and make them aware of the upcoming decision / actions

If you need or want to report anything about an event in our part of the world, please contact one of our Hosts. Alternatively, contact information for Raven Dubh is below

  • Fetlife: EventsInBlack
  • Email: tehraven@gmail.com
  • SMS: (206) 413-8492 (LLC number)
  • Discord tehraven (or use the menu here to join our Discord)

Information shared to Raven directly in any of these methods, including their personal Fetlife, will be gathered and handled according to our Accountability process. Mainly, you should assume at least some of the Hosts of this group will become privy to the information you share. Please declare the level of anonymity you require in your message(s).

Some information like legal documents can be found on our Discord.
